Tashir

Tashir is 42 km away from Vanadzor. It was founded in 1844 by the Russians, who had moved from the Saratov region by order of the Russian Empire. Initially, the city was named Vorontsovka, and in 1935 it was renamed Kalinino after the revolutionary Kalinin. And the current name is in honor of Tashir province.
