Alaverdi

The city Alaverdi is located in the south of the Lori region. The distance from Vanadzor is 44 km. Alaverdi community includes the city Alaverdi, Aqori, Kachachkut, Haghpat, Tsaghkashat, and Jiliza villages. Alaverdi is famous for copper mining, though it has a big amount of cultural and historical heritages, of which the most known are monastic complexes of Sanahin and Haghpat.
